Go ahead and link to any of the main section pages; it’s completely link free. I won’t stop you from linking to individual stories, but all the navigation is on the main pages so it’s really not a good idea. The one thing I won’t tolerate is hotlinking images; using other people’s servers to power your own Web presence is inconsiderate at best. If you want a cool image for your blog or forum posts, save it to your own hard drive first.
If you like banners, you can use the one below. Maybe someday I’ll get around to making some others.
If you want to archive something, ask first. I’m pretty easy, but I do want to see your site and make sure you’re doing things right. Some people I know have had stories stolen, archived without a linkback, and even content changed. And if you want to put in a contact link, I’ll share a handy-dandy little script to keep spambots from harvesting your authors’ addresses.
I don’t collect any personal information, period. No cookies, no annoying scripts that ask for your name, nothing but a counter. I do read through my server logs, but I’m mostly looking for hotlinkers, would-be hackers, and misbehaving bots.
Pay attention to the sakura icons. There is adult content here, so use good judgment.
If you run a bot, make sure it honors robots.txt. If it doesn’t, not only will your ISP get a complaint that you’re running a possible spambot, but I’ll add your email address to my honeypot so the spambots can harvest YOU.
If you link to me, for heaven’s sake keep your links updated! My site is always changing, so don’t send people looking for pages I moved or took down years ago.
