I try to use only art that would be available to anyone with access to the originals and the right equipment and software. If I don’t scan from my own artbooks or screencap from my own DVDs, I try to only take from open image galleries or posts to alt.binaries.pictures.anime. I don’t knowingly use fanart; if I have inadvertently taken someone’s original work, please let me know. I beg your pardon and crave your indulgence. Finding the right illo can be hard, especially for lemons. The links below are for still-extant sites where I have gotten images I use; many of the galleries I mined for pictures several years ago have now vanished. I do all my own image editing and make all my own graphical elements.
These are the people who actually own the characters and series that appear in my stories. If they didn’t create them, I woudn’t have their worlds to play with. My highest tribute and deepest gratitude. And a word of warning: many of the company homepages are in Japanese. I’ve linked English pages where they exist; except for Shogakukan and Kodansha, few do.
